Our Randolph County Democratic Party leadership is dedicated to helping Democratic candidates win, so we can make sure that Randolph County is moving in the right direction in the years to come.

County Chair - Fred Davis

Fred Davis was born in Winchester, In, and has lived in Wisconsin and Ohio, but has always considered Indiana home. He is married to Patti Davis and is the proud father of 7 children, 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Fred worked at UCBC for 38 years, and also at Workhorse Chassis. He is a longtime member of UAW 494, having served as president and is currently an E-Bd. Member as well as the UAW CAP Chair for Jay, Randolph, and Wayne counties. He is also active in the AFL-CIO.

He has served on many other committees, and ran for State Senator in District 27. He was also recently selected to be an alternate elector for Barack Obama.

"I must tell you it is a privilege, an honor, and a thrill to serve you as the Randolph County Democratic Chairperson. I always make this guarantee, nobody will out work me, on working to elect Democrats. I'm proud to be your chair and Proud to be a Randolph County Democrat."

Vice County Chair - Kathy Bothast

Kathy Bothast was born in Richmond, Indiana, and has lived in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.

Kathy worked at UCBC/ Workhorse Custom Chassis for 36 1/2 years and and is an active member of UAW 494, and the editor of the Local's newsletter since 1988.

Kathy has been an active Democrat since joining the Young Democrat group in Greenville, Ohio at the age of 18 and has been involved with the party since. She has served as Precinct Committeeman, City Chair, State Convention Delegate, City Council Person, and now as Vice County Chair. When not serving in an official capacity she helped with campaigning door to door, and with whatever else needed to be done.

"I have met and worked with a lot of great Democrats throughout Indiana and Ohio. I have had the privilege of hearing some very influential people speak and have enjoyed it very much. I look forward to continuing to work hard to get Democrats elected for a better life in our county, state and country. I am very proud to be a Randolph County Democrat."

Finances/Secetary - Tammy Moon

Tammy Moon was born and raised in Winchester, Indiana, graduating from WCHS and then Ball State University.

While working as a police officer in Memphis, Tennessee, she received her Master in Public Administration and has worked in government and non-profit agencies as an administrator, technical writer/grantwriter ever since.

Now back in Randolph County, doing medical transcription from home, Tammy continues her activism on behalf of progressive issues including health care reform to include a public option.
