Why Should I Vote?
It is important that you vote in every election to make sure that we have the best elected officials possible. Our local government is especially important, even though they may receive less attention than our President or our Senators. Our local government is responsible for creating new jobs, keeping our streets paved, maintain our parks and public spaces, as well as funding local programs. With all these important decisions it is crucial that we have people in office that we can trust. You can do that by exercising your right to vote.
What Do I Need to Vote?
In order to vote on election day you must have registered to vote 29 days prior to the election, be both a Citizen of the United States and a resident of Indiana. Not currently be incarcerated, and have lived in the precinct where you are going to vote for at least thirty days.
Also on election day you must bring with you a state or federal photo ID, that is valid or has expired after Nov. 4th 2008. For more information on what is required for an ID at the polling place please Click Here.
Where Do I Register to Vote?
In order to register to vote you need to print out the Voter Registration Form, fill it out completely and then mail or hand deliver the form to your county's registration office.

Where To Vote
If you are unsure if you are registered to vote, or if you need to know where to go on election day in order to vote Click Here If you are unable to get to your polling place on election day and need transportation please contact any of our party leadership and they will be able to coordinate transportation for you.
Also you are eligible to vote absentee in Indiana, if you are unable to vote on election day due to being unable to reach a polling place during the twelve hours they are open due to work, religion, or travel, you have a disability, you are at least 65 years of age, you have official election duties outside of you voting precinct on election day, or if you are a member of state's address confidentiality program. In order to vote absentee you must be registered to vote and send in the absentee voter registration form one week prior to the election.
